Princess RiRi (aka Rihanna) has gotten the royal couture treatment. Riccardo Tisci designer director at Givenchy will design all of Rihanna’s costumes for her ‘Diamonds’ world tour. She’s one lucky lady! Imagine having a gorgeous, stunning, one-of-kind garment created by the brilliant designer. I’m getting a bit light-headed just think about it. Swooning…..
This is a couple of years old but I had to share! I toggle back and forth between Alexander McQueen and Givenchy as my favorite designer. To tell you the truth, I heart them both equally! The (2011) Haute Couture collection by Givenchy is simply divine! Magical. Stunning. I can’t even begin to imagine how much time, money, and dedication it took to create each exquisite piece. Riccardo Tisci (Givenchy – creative director) is a total fashion genius! I would love to spend five minutes in his brian…just to witness the brilliant process in creating his one-of-kind collection! J’adore GIVENCHY!!!
Givenchy Fall 2012 Collection is so edgy and hot! I love the silk dresses paired with the long leather gloves and tweed vests. The brick wall adds the perfect back drop. Not sure about Dude on the bike, its a bit distracting for me. Nonetheless this collection is magic! Texture, colors, and exquisite fabrics make up a brilliant collection and this collection is Brilliant!
Sometimes life requires you to look back before you can look forward! I think that sentiment would apply to GIVENCHY Haute Couture S/S Collection! I am enthralled with the beautifully crafted backs of these gowns. They are truly breathtaking! This collection is very similar to GIVENCHY Fall 10 Collection but I still can't get enough of the intricate detail and delicate fabrics! I wonder how many hours it took to complete each luscious gown, as each one is sewn by hand. Honestly it's a good thing that I can't afford one. Otherwise I would be that annoying girl, prancing around at a dinner party shouting "did everyone see the back of my gown"?! Don't act like you wouldn't do the same thing if you were adorned with one of these amazing gowns! ; )
Brilliant, Stunning, Exquisite, Magnificent…..are just some of the words to describe Givenchy’s Haute Couture collection. Every detail, stitch, and adornment on each garment was sewn by hand and took months to complete. It has to be one of the most breath taking collections I have seen to date. Givenchy held a private showing (by invitation only) at their fashion house in Paris. Sadly, I did not receive an invitation. However, I am currently concocting a plan for next year’s invite. So, far my plan involves Oprah, a camera, chewing gum, and a plane ticket. Let me know if you have any other ideas?
