BALMAIN! Oh, how dreamy you are! Balmain’s Fall 2013 collection takes us on a wild ride of metallics. Deep hues of regal purple. Eye-popping fuchsia. Glittering royal blue. Brilliant emerald-green. The color palette, structured shoulders and draped skirts are AH-mazing! Me likey! The collection reminds me of the hit 80′s show ‘Dynasty’. This is totally something Krystal Carrington would wear circa….NOW!
I have dreams of owning a vintage Balmain dress. I came very close this past February when I spotted a black vintage Balmain gown on shopgoodwill.com. It was stunning but too small. Another opportunity presented itself two months later on eBay, there it was a gold vintage Balmain blazer, I stalked it for 4 days and missed out on final bidding. Shoot! Plans foiled again.
I’m perched on my couch, eyes fixed on these divine photos from BALMAIN A/W 2012 collection! The intricate embroidery detail, strategically placed pearls, gold trim….this collection definitely pays homage to the opulent garments of the late 1700′s. Très gorg!
I have dreams of owning a vintage BALMAIN blazer! They're insanely gorgeous and the quintessential statement piece. I'm 100% convinced that if I own one, my wardrobe would be complete! I would NEVER need to wear jewerly – the beaded glory adorned on this blazer is perfection. Must find a generous Granny who wouldn't mind passing down her vintage BALMAIN pieces to a needy fashionista. I'm sure it could be considered a tax right off for the wealthy.
